Fifty Six Biography

FiftySix are a six piece band from London. Our sound is quite a refreshing one and quite different than most of the unsigned bands that currently dominate the circuit. With an element of Soul, Funk, Ska, Reggae, Urban and a smidgen of rock, we bring together a live experience unlike anything you have heard before. Original founder members are Paul Smith, Danielle Smith and Chennine George. After many years together, writing and recording our original tracks we decided we wanted to experience the live circuit and look for a band to gig with. We found our guitarist, John Lovell through the Forming Bands website and then quickly got to work looking for additional musicians to join us. We were shortly joined by Joel Letort (bass) and Phildas Bhakta (drums). We have since been gigging around London promoting our sound and are enjoying every moment of it! We are very excited for what 2009 brings and have already got off to a brilliant start. We have attended an audition for Live and Unsigned UK and were successful in getting through to the Regional Final's which takes place on March 29th 2009.
